Monkfish Cheeks (10lb)
Known as "poor man's lobster", monkfish is mild with a firm dense texture similar to lobster. The cheeks are an ultra tender cut that have all the flavor of monkfish in perfect nugget-like portions. 1 portion is approx. 16 oz (1 lb). We recommend 8 oz per person. This product is 10 individually packed 1 lb fillets.

Great Fish & Great Service
The fish arrived frozen hard as a rock and very fresh when thawed. These monkfish cheeks are tender and taste great. But they do have the same membrane that you need to remove from the regular monkfish (altho it has no taste to me when there are bits I couldn't remove, so probably doesn't have to be removed.) I have allergies to all meat and some fish, so it is wonderful to be able to have Red's for substitutes. Their products are always the best, arrive in excellent condition, and are very reasonably priced; I couldn't ask for better.
Great with garlic, white wine and parsley
We received a great service from Red's Best. The monkfish cheeks arrived very well packaged and in perfect condition just a couple of days after purchase. We defrosted two pounds and after cleaning them, my wife prepared them with 'Salsa verde' (salt, garlic, white wine and parsley); They were delicious. We ate them with a side of cooked potatoes. We plan to thaw 4 more pounds after Thanksgiving.
